Kelly Cannon is satisfied with his life. He has friends, a wonderful family, and a great job. But his love life has reached a new level of pitiful. Why? Well, his heart decided to break all the rules. Dont fall in love with a straight guy. And definitely dont fall in love with your best friend.NFL standout Britton Blue Montgomery has pressure coming at him from all sides. From his father, whos only interested in Blues football career. From his coaches, who just want him to play without getting injured again. From the fans. From his agent. And from his mother, who has popped up on the radar after leaving his family years before. And now his relationship with Kelly is on shaky ground, and that frightens Blue more than anything. When Kelly admits hes in love with Blue, bonds are tested, and Blue has to decide whats really important. He doesnt want to lose the number-one person in his life, but the cost to keep Kelly close might be more than hes willing to pay.Its a good thing his nickname is the Blueprintits time to draft a new set of plans....

The Blueprint (The Game #1) Reviews
Something amazing happens in your world when the person you think is crazy special thinks you're kind of special too.
I don't know if it was just good timing or what, but I really liked this one. And I'm kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to read it.
It pretty much ticked all of my boxes:
Friends to Lovers - check
GFY/OFY - check
Banter - check
Sports - check
Steam - check
Plus relatively low angst.
I was worried a bit about Blue toying with Kelly. But it felt pretty authentic to ...more

Sometimes the heart just wanted what the heart wanted, and to hell with the consequences.
There is SO MUCH to like/love about this story: the banter, the heehawlarious family dynamics, these characters, witty writing, great team dynamics and verisimilitude that spoke to me. The Blueprint is the story of the evolution of platonic into romantic love and how uneasy that road can be. It's not fluffy and possesses a genuine melange of emotions. Maybe I would've ...more
Let me begin with what I liked about the story: I loved the humor, the banter, and the snark.
I checked under the throw pillows and between the couch cushions, and she scowled. “What’re you looking for?”
“Someone who gives a rat’s ass about your opinion.”
I should’ve known he was lying to me. Mostly because Bel Biv Devoe had it right—never trust a big butt and a smile.
I loved Blue's friend Ivanovich, Kelly's family, and Kelly's friend Connor (and really hope he gets a happy ending some day). Th ...more

Me and this book, we got a thing goin’ on and it’s too strong to let it go now.
It’s not just physical attraction or sex or being buddies. I love you.
This book did it for me in so many ways. I am a huge fan of the friends to lover’s trope and I adore unrequited love. I blame John Hughes for my addiction to stories that frustrate the holy heck out of you with waiting for the couple to get together. This was a test in the frustration department tur ...more
Blue and Kelly have been friends since childhood; Blue plays for the NFL while Kelly is a physics professor. Kelly is gay while Blue is ... straight? Kelly has been in love with his best friend for years and lately Blue has been sending signals, definitely mixed signals, but signals nonetheless, that maybe he isn't as straight as he proclaims to be. Blue, for his part, is willing (maybe) to concede that he's bisexual but he doesn't want to mess up his friendship with Kelly nor come out to the NF ...more
I enjoyed the hell out of this book!! This had enough of everything. I loved the banter between the two guys Kelly and Blue. It was awesome because they knew each other so well. I even didn't get too annoyed with Blue, stringing Kelly along. But in the end Blue gets it right;
“I know what I want, and I want you....more
Maybe I haven’t always been clear about that….” His mouth firmed. “You get me, you know? All my good moods and bad moods. You always call me on all my shit. You’re not afraid to tell me
I just love a friends to lovers story! It can be a very slow burn or a faster one. It doesn’t matter I just devour all the tension in it!
Kelly is a teacher, living in a good environment, has wonderful parents, supportive and funny.
Blue is Kelly's best friend, an NFL player, with a lot of stress coming from the outside, Always surrounded by hot women and he enjoys them.
Kelly- for Blue- is one of the most important factors in his life. He knows he is gay and when he asks Kelly about his sex life a ...more
Not my favorite of this author's, but I still enjoyed it immensely. Even though it wasn't as charmingly funny and the back-and-forth starting grating on my nerves, it did catch my attention and hold it throughout the book.
This author is an auto-buy for me.
