Outbreak (Nightshades #3) Reviews
Eh. This conclusion to the series was underwhelming. Lindy, Alex, and the BPI face their final showdown with Hector. It was anti-climactic. At least with the other books I enjoy the procedural aspect of the storylines. Not the case here. What a shame.
Olson’s vampire/police procedural continues to please, and has the feel of a number of today’s popular TV shows.
The main villain is cartoonishly evil, though there’s an attempt to give him depth via the revelation of more of the backstory he shares with Lindy, his sister vampire working for human law enforcement — and who is now romantically involved with Alex, our main hero cop. Thank You Ms Olson for a really good series.
I've enjoyed every page.
Thanx from Sweden
I really like the Nightshades series and this was a great addition. Great characters and great wrap up. The ending could be a series finale but maybe not. I think Alex and Lindy have some adventures left.

I think it would have been better if I had r ...more
The story picked up immediately after the end of book #2, when the 'evil villain' Hector and his army broke the prison that kept shades prisoner. Within hours, FBI turns their investigation to Lindy -- as Hector's twin -- and decides to dismantle the Chicago field of Bureau of Preternatural Investigation. Alex and his team, alongside Lindy, have to find a way to defeat Hector once and for all.
I LOVED the pace of this book -- it's a page turner for sure. I loved that the team worked together to r ...more
Like everything by Melissa F. Olson, Outbreak is excellent. It wraps up the story that started in Nightshades but still leaves you wanting more Alex and Lindy.
