Each day I prayed for my husband to love me again. After fifteen years together, he walked away from me, and into the arms of another.I didnt know how to cope. I didnt know my worth. I didnt know how to exist without him by my side. All I wanted was for him to come back to me.Then, Jackson Emery appeared. He was supposed to be a distraction for my mind. A summer fling. A confidence boost to my bruised heart. We were perfect for one another, because we both knew we wouldnt last. Jackson didnt believe in commitment, and I no longer believed in love. He was too closed-off for me, and I was too damaged for him.Everything was fine, until one night my heart skipped a beat.I didnt expect him to make me laugh. To make me think. To make my sadness somewhat disappear. When our time was up, my heart didnt know how to walk away. Each day I prayed for my husband to love me again, yet slowly my prayers began to shift toward the man who wasnt right for me. I prayed for one more smile, one more kiss, one more laugh, one more touch I prayed for him to be mine.Even though I knew his heart wasnt destined to love.*This book was previously known as Between the Notes.*...

Disgrace is a must read. Gah! The array of emotions this book is packed with was something that took me by surprise. I was in awe of Brittainy's writing. For a book that can be compared to an encyclopedia with it's lenght, I sure finished it in one sitting. I tell you this, you will never know how fast you can turn a page with your emotion in your sleeve once you read Jackson and Grace's story. Page turner was an understatement.
Brittainy C. Cherry's writing had me with just blurb of this book ...more
Told in a dual POV, Brittainy C Cherry has once again worked her magic and made me fall in the book from the first sentences holding me prisoner in Grace and Jackson’s world till the very end.
How does she do it? Capture my heart and make me feel the heroine’s devastation right from the start?
With these sentences:
“My heartbeats raced as I leaned against the living room wall, staring at the packed bags from a distance. Fifteen years of history in five pieces of luggage; fifteen years o...more

Another beautiful book from Ms.Cherry! ❤❤❤
Our mutual sadness was the only thing keeping us afloat. It was odd— how two sad people could make one another breathe.

This book is beautiful.
I enjoyed every bit!
"you're allowed to choose yourself first".
There were a few hard and emotional moments in this book but it also had lovely parts of course!
I loved the two main characters alot. Poor jackson is judge by the town he lives in,
because people are always quick to judge others. Grace is there for him, and Jackson is there for grace in return.
You cannot go wrong with books by Brittany. I have yet to read a book by her which I haven't enjoyed.

“In his darkness, I found my light.”
Once every so often (if you’re lucky enough) you come across a book that is everything you hoped it would be and more. It speaks to you in such a profound and deep level, you don’t think you could possibly read a book that could top this one. Disgrace by Brittainy C Cherry was that book for me; it was heartfelt, emotional and above all else real. It was a touching story of heartbreak, loss, love and the powerful connection between two people who were desp ...more
“Always and always.”
How can you not love a Brittainy C. Cherry book? She spins a tale that is so in depth and full of emotion that it grips you hard and doesn't let go and this one is no exception.
Grace has always been the good preacher's daughter...always doing what she's told and most importantly what's expected. So, when her husband leaves her after cheating on her multiple times, she doesn't know what to do with herself. Enter the town's bad boy, Jackson Emery.
In fact, he saves her ...more
I absolutely love older woman younger man trope, so no complaints in this department.
After all this poor heroine suffered (betrayal by her cheating husband, brainwashing by her parents, 7 miscarriages) I wished for a stronger man for her.
I would have given it 5 stars, if she did move on with her life after her summer fling with the 'hero'. And I liked her development, she gained strength and self-finding was a right thing, IMO!
I get that he had a hard life, was bullied, ...more
