This Messy Magnificent Life: A Field Guide Reviews
I have loved her writings since her first book and sitting down to savor this latest volume has been like reconnection with an old friend. One who can say something and you reply, "Me, too!" You can laugh and cry with her and, after reading her words of comfort, you feel less alone in this great big messy world. That you have value, that you belong and she is there for you. She is real. Geneen's books are ones I re-read and this lovely book is no exception.

I absolutely love Geneen Roth! And this book is just another reason why. For those of us (like me) that struggle with 'food issues', she makes us believe in ourselves, love ourselves and get up every morning looking forward to a new day.
"After a while, the stories from our past begin to feel like poems we

My favorite section of this book was at the end where Geneen gives a list which I found very inspirational. This is a slim volume and if you've read her books before this may seem like familiar territory to you. I always learn something new and even if a lot of it doesn't apply to my life, I'm happy that I spent some time with this book.
I was very happy to have won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. I am most appreciative. This is an excellent book for many people even those who do not struggle with the dieting dilemma. One standout message that Geneen Roth shares with readers is that “No one has ever been to the future that you keep putting your life on hold for.”
I am grateful for this book and to Geneen Roth for the words and personal stories she shares with readers.
When requesting this title I didn't realize that it was Christian based. Of course there's nothing wrong with that with me personally because I am a Christian but my beliefs are very open minded. I appreciate the honesty in this book and it had great writing. I just didn't find it that relatable. My daily struggles are on a different level and not the same as the author experienced. While I think a lot of women can benefit from this honest, well written and positive novel. This book wasn't relat ...more
