The Enemy of My Enemy…..
Please read this review on my blog: http://bookreadingtic.com/2018/04/14/... Thank you

Despite not knowing one another, different occurrences in the lives of each man brings the intersection closer. Marcus Ryker is a good-looking guy from Colorado who marries his high school sweetheart and starts a family. He is also an American Patriot and a dare-devil. Marcus has s ...more
I read it in 2 days! Joel Rosenberg is one of the best authors on the planet. He writes a rip-roaring, page-turning, in-your-face-headline-making, phenomenal book! Is that enough adjectives for you?
Another Rosenberg winner - he is an amazing writer, he can take you to a place where you feel like you're actually in the story alongside the action. Once you reach a certain point you won't be able to put it down so get ready for an all nighter!
Rosenberg knows how to create a political thriller that could very well parallel today's headlines. A Russian leader who wants to be a czar over a restored glory of Russia is pitted against an unpredictable U. S. president. With the existence of NATO on the line, an ex-secret service agent tries to prevent a possible global disaster.
I really like how Rosenberg has crafted his characters. The Russian president is a conniving man, lying to the public while secretly making preparations for military ...more
Honestly, this was a hard read for me. Early on in the book the author would jump between characters and timeframes that I found confusing. I struggled keeping track of who was who and their significance. Likewise, the story at times seemed to drag on. Please note I reviewed an unedited advanced reader copy, some of the “slow” parts may have been cleaned up for final publication.
For me, a big problem was I didn’t start caring about the main character until near the end of the story. If I had rel ...more
Joel Rosenberg writes some of the scariest books I’ve ever read. Why? Because with his previous works, some of the things he wrote about came true. Prophet? No, just astutely aware of current events and the possibilities of the outcomes, along with discernment on how these events pertain to biblical prophecy, via Christianity and Judaism.
Someone is out to take control of Russia, regaining territories lost in the previous decades, and they will use any means possible, including, or perhaps espec ...more
This is a hunker of a book and it is told in parts. So I am going to read one part at a time and then I am going to give a little summary or my thoughts of that part, maybe like a line or two and then move on to the next part. It is also told in dual perspectives which is sometimes a hit or miss for me.
We learn that a series of bombings is taking place around Russia and we are introduced to a slew of characters but the main character is named Oleg. He is a lawyer who has just been hired ...more
Once again, he leaves us with a cliffhanger! Such a thrilling, fast-paced read. If you've never read Rosenberg, this is a great one to start with!
